Meet Meg Holeva, Owner/Operator Head Chaos Goblin
Hi there! I have been in the dog training world since 2013. My resume bounces around from Dog Daycare attendant, Dog Daycare site manager, General Manager and head trainer for a dog walking company, Washington DC Animal Control Corporal, UPAWS Animal Care Worker, and (my favorite) Dog Trainer and proprietor of my own company.
I worked extensively in the DC area with dogs of all shapes, ages, sizes, and temperaments. My specialty kind of fell into aggression (and prevention of) and private in-home training. I got my start as a private company, working closely with a large Non-Profit animal rescue in DC on their tougher cases.
It is my goal to once again foster positive relationships between people and their pets. I don't know if my way is the right way, but I know that it works for me. More in-depth training philosophy and how I work can be found on the FAQ page!
How it All Started:
A lot of trainers start because they got "that one dog". They learn about all the issues to help fix their dog. I got lucky, I started training before I even had the space to house a dog. So when I was ready, I found Birdie. I don't mean to brag, but Birdie was perfect (Okay she wasn't a cuddler and we won't talk about the poop habit). Birdie was my teacher for 12.5 years. I sadly lost her in early December to a brain tumor. The following Friday, my first dog training client since moving back to the UP was dropped in my lap.
So from this hippy dippy, energy and communication matter, trainer. Thanks for having my back Birdie, I'll take it from here.
